Job description

This is your chance to be part of a defining moment in shaping the future of our services.

Here at the NSPCC, we've been protecting children for over 100 years, doing everything we can to prevent abuse and neglect and giving expert support to help children recover.

We're now at a pivotal moment in our strategy, with two programmes from our Operations department offering the right candidate a chance to be involved in some of the most significant technology upgrades to our services in the history of the NSPCC.

  • Helplines Technology Transformation Programme – focused on the future technology for our Childline , NSPCC Helpline and Supporter Care
  • Services Technology Transformation Programme – focused on the future technology for our Local Services and Partnership & Development

Together these programmes will transform how we help even more children and young people feel listened to, supported and kept safe.

This is your chance to personally make a positive difference for thousands of children and young people every year.

Alongside working with a wide variety of stakeholders, from service users to those on the frontline of our services, we're looking for people who want to be part of a dedicated team to support these programmes with the design, build, test and implementation of their new technology solutions

We're currently recruiting for a full time, fixed term Product Manager, focusing on our Local Services & Partnership and Development teams.

We're currently recruiting for 1 full time, fixed term position in our Operations department to specifically support the Services Technology Transformation programme. The position will run until end of April 2026.

As a Product Manager, you will be a key point of bringing together all the relevant NSPCC stakeholders to think about, prioritise and refine our overall business needs to ensure that ultimately, the solutions we deliver create better outcomes for children, young people, their families and the wider community.

The product manager will work closely with other Product Managers in the programme team, as well as our Technical, Testing and Change Management leads. This role will be home-based, but the post holder will be expected to undertake business travel as required, specifically to our London office to support the Helplines Technology Transformation Programme and Services Transformation Programme.

We're looking for talented people who value putting children first:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone who

  • Is passionate about what the NSPCC does and what getting this right can mean for the children, young people, families and communities we serve.
  • Is a great communicator and can achieve consensus from multiple different viewpoints to create a single, prioritised backlog of features that development teams can work on.
  • Can bridge the gap between technical teams and the front-end user. Someone with a good eye for detail who understands enough about what could be possible and can piece this together with what people want to be able to achieve.

Please refer to the job description for a full person specification. We ask all candidates to address and evidence that they meet each of the 10 points in the person specification in their supporting statement (within a total word limit of 10,000 characters).

If you would like any further information about the role, please contact Hannah Driscoll (Project Manager) at Hannah.Driscoll@nspcc.org.uk
