Job Description
We are seeking an experienced (Senior) European Media Analysis Consultant to join our dedicated team serving a leading European institution. You will leverage your exceptional analytical skills, strategic thinking, and comprehensive knowledge of EU policies and institutions to deliver insightful and high-quality media analysis products. In this role, you will:
Deliver in-depth media analysis reports and strategic insights related to EU policies, institutions, and major international developments
Act as the primary contact for our clients' media analysis projects, managing client requests and contributing to long-term client relationships
Collaborate closely with client representatives to design and execute customized media analysis projects
Produce clear, concise, and visually engaging analytical reports, briefings, and presentations to inform strategic communication decisions
Provide strategic communication advice based on insights derived from media analysis
Prepare and deliver presentations tailored for Senior Communication Executives, actively participating in client meetings
Identify optimisation potentials within your projects
Support and coordinate Junior Analysts, overseeing quality assurance to ensure the consistency and accuracy of deliverables
Work collaboratively within an international team organized in an integrated Newsroom environment
Your profile
Minimum of 5 years' experience in media analysis, communications consultancy, or strategic insights, with at least 3 years focusing on EU institutional or political affairs
Extensive knowledge of the EU institutional framework, particularly the European Commission, including policies, priorities, and decision-making processes
Expertise in qualitative and quantitative media analysis methodologies and familiarity with both traditional and social media landscapes
Excellent writing and communication skills in German and English (knowledge of additional EU languages is a significant advantage)
Ability to clearly and quickly synthesize complex information into actionable insights
Proven ability to manage projects effectively, consistently meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality
Advanced proficiency with Office 365; tech-savviness: comfort and adaptability with new technologies, AI, and analytical tools
Strong interest in current global events, politics, society, and business trends
