About The Role
As a Solutions Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering product solutions that align with the unique needs of our merchants. Acting as a key liaison between our Sales, Partnerships, Product, and Engineering teams, you'll ensure a seamless experience for our merchants from initial onboarding to full-scale deployment. This role lies at the intersection of technology and business, and combines technical expertise, product knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to driving our merchants success.
You'll be part of the Product and Engineering department, working closely with Product Managers, Engineering teams and also Sales, Partnerships, and Operations. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with key players in the payment ecosystem such as Stripe, Adyen, and others, to deliver innovative solutions.
Keychallenges you'll tackle include:
Crafting scalable and efficient solutions to support the growing needs of our merchant customers
Serving as a trusted technical advisor to facilitate requirements framing and integration projects
Gathering and analysing high-quality business insights to influence product strategy and improve merchant outcomes
Contributing to a data-driven approach, and helping optimise processes and resources for a maximum impact
About The Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with different teams to design and deliver tailored technical solutions that meet merchant needs
Act as a technical advisor, bridging the gap between business requirements and technical implementation to ensure seamless merchant onboarding and deployment
Facilitate technical integration projects with merchants and partners
Enable the Revenue teams with the technical or product knowledge to effectively present Alma’s solutions
Translate merchant and partner feedback into insights to drive product improvement
Maintain positive relationships with customers and stakeholders, addressing their concerns while standing firm on key decisions
Provide hands-on support during critical phases, such as the initial rollout of Alma’s solutions, to ensure successful implementation
What would make you a perfect fit for the job?
Experience: 5+ years of relevant work experience in a Solutions Engineering, Pre-sales, Technical Consulting, or Technical Project Manager role (internship & apprenticeship experiences excluded)
Strong technical foundation, including hands-on experience with APIs, SaaS platforms, and integrating complex systems
Solid project management skills to align expectations between teams
Language: fluency in French and full professional proficiency in English mandatory
Exceptional communication skills, you also know how to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences. You remain level-headed under pressure and can proactively offer customers or stakeholders alternative solutions or timelines
A customer-first mindset, with a passion for building trust and fostering long-term partnerships
Experience in fintech, payment services (PSP), or Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) is a significant plus!
