Job description

Role Purpose: 

The Product Designer will work with other members of the Jumio UX Team to create innovative and customer focused solutions for our customers and end users. The Designer will work closely with our global Product Management, Research and Development team members to create designs and specifications that will be used in the SAFE Agile development model of software delivery.

We are looking for a product designer who will envision how people experience our products and bring that vision to life with a deep knowledge of design thinking. You will help the cross-functional teams with enhancing consumer-facing experiences on web, mobile and desktop applications. You will be responsible for creating UX specifications based on business requirements, strategic objectives, user research and functional requirements. 

Example Responsibilities:

As a Product Designer at Jumio, you will play a key role in shaping the user experience across our web (mobile and desktop) and mobile (iOS and Android) applications. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders to design intuitive, inclusive, and future-facing digital experiences across all the Jumio platforms - native iOS/Android, Web and Mobile Web. From early discovery to polished handoff, you'll bring a thoughtful and strategic design mindset to every stage of the product lifecycle.

  • Design end-to-end user experiences across mobile and web platforms, aligning with platform-specific guidelines and best practices
  • Translate product requirements and user insights into intuitive interfaces and interaction models
  • Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to bring concepts to life, balancing usability, feasibility, and business needs
  • Own and evolve Jumio’s design system to ensure visual and functional consistency
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to validate and refine designs
  • Ensure accessibility and WCAG compliance across all products
  • Present design work to stakeholders with clarity and confidence
  • Stay ahead of design trends and emerging technologies to continually improve our user experience
  • Effectively communicating directly with stakeholders all over the globe

Skills and Experience for this role

  • 6+ years of professional experience in product design (UX/UI) with a strong portfolio showcasing web and mobile work
  • Solid understanding of platform-specific design patterns for iOS, Android, and responsive web
  • Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with tools for prototyping, collaboration, and user testing
  • Experience conducting or collaborating on user research and usability studies
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and inclusive design practices
  • Ability to think strategically and contribute to the broader product vision
  • A user-first mindset with attention to detail and consistency
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable working in an international and remote-first environment
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
