The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing DevOps practices across development and operations teams. This role ensures efficient, reliable, and scalable delivery pipelines through CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code, and proactive system monitoring. The Senior DevOps Engineer collaborates closely with developers, QA, and operations teams to drive best practices and process improvements that support agile software delivery.
Shift Structure:
Responsibilities:
- CI/CD and Infrastructure Automation
- Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Automate provisioning, deployment, and monitoring workflows to ensure consistent and repeatable environments.
- Process Optimization and Tooling
- Recommend and implement DevOps tools and practices that increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Optimize build, test, and deployment processes for speed and reliability.
- Enforce DevOps best practices across environments and teams.
- Collaboration and Support
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Work with operations to ensure infrastructure reliability, security, and scalability.
- Communicate effectively with the DevOps Lead and cross-functional stakeholders regarding project status, technical decisions, and improvements.
- Monitoring and Incident Response
- Set up and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging systems.
- Participate in incident response and post-mortem analysis to improve system resilience.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related engineering roles.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Solid understanding of version control (Git), Agile methodologies, and SDLC processes.
- DevOps certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert) are a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
- 2 rest days per week
- 13th Month Pay
