YOUR IMPACT

The Corporate Reporting Senior Accountant is responsible for a wide range of corporate accounting functions, including the following:

  • Debt accounting (ASC 470)
  • Accounting for intangibles, including goodwill (ASC 350)
  • Accounting for intercompany receivables and payables
  • Accounting for intercompany loans
  • Monthly and quarterly financial reporting
  • Accounting for business combinations (ASC 850)

This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, provides guidance on complex accounting topics, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to support business goals while maintaining financial integrity.

  • Analyze and interpret complex contracts to determine the appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor company policies governing the above areas of accounting.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with debt covenants.
  • Partner with legal and finance teams to review the accounting treatment of any proposed corporate transactions.
  • Develop internal controls to regularly settle intercompany balances.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements related to corporate accounting functions.
  • Assist with the implementation of system enhancements within Workday related to financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports to Redwood’s owners.  
  • Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly financial data and support for audits, budgets, and other needs.
  • Assist with special projects and activities as requested.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field of study.
  • Strong Technical understanding of ASC 470. 
  • Experience in the software/ technology industry is preferred.
  • Ability to independently research complex accounting issues.
  • Ability to analyze information, formulate decisions / recommendations and bring closure to issues.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • 3-7 years of work experience, public accounting and software accounting experience preferred.
