We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Divisional Sales Manager to lead our Cataract sales team in the Los Angeles, CA region. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing and managing a high-performing sales team made up of 3 different rep types, and expanding Alcon’s market share within the cataract surgery space. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales leadership, large-scale negotiations, and experience selling to multi-facility medical systems. This role requires exceptional strategic thinking, clinical selling expertise, and the ability to articulate Alcon’s value proposition effectively to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership & Performance: Drive and achieve divisional sales targets, ensuring consistent revenue growth and market expansion. Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize product adoption and customer engagement.

  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, coach and develop a high-performing team of sales professionals. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Large-Scale Negotiations: Successfully negotiate and manage agreements with healthcare systems & groups

  • Strategic Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), surgeons, and administrators in the ophthalmology space. Develop long-term partnerships that drive business growth.

  • Clinical Selling & Product Launches: Demonstrate expertise in clinical selling by effectively communicating the clinical and economic benefits of Alcon’s cataract portfolio. Lead successful product launches and market introductions.

  • Value Proposition & Market Expansion: Clearly articulate Alcon’s value proposition to customers, differentiating the company’s solutions from competitors. Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to expand product reach.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, training, and support teams to optimize sales strategies and ensure seamless execution of initiatives.

What you can bring to Alcon:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 5 Years of Proven Experience
