Responsibilities:
● Define and execute a forward-thinking technology strategy aligned with Bank’s business goals, with a focus on scalability, innovation, and cost efficiency.
● Oversee the development, integration, and optimization of the bank’s Core Banking System, ensuring it meets operational, compliance, and customer requirements.
● Lead initiatives to enhance digital channels, including mobile and web platforms, introducing state-of-the-art features that improve customer experience.
● Ensure a robust, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure, with minimal downtime and maximum performance.
● Manage and mentor a team of over 150 IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
● Establish best practices to optimize processes, manage resources, and control costs, while ensuring departmental scalability aligns with business needs.
● Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and implement strong cybersecurity and risk management practices.
● Act as a strategic advisor to the executive team, presenting opportunities to leverage technology for business growth.
● Manage relationships with external providers, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
● Leverage data analytics and business intelligence tools to drive strategic decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
● Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure technology supports seamless, customer-focused experiences.
● Develop and oversee robust disaster recovery plans and IT continuity strategies.
Requirements
● 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles within the banking or financial services sector.
● Extensive experience with CBS development, customization, and integration, along with knowledge of modern banking platforms.
● Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation projects, including mobile applications, AI, cloud technologies, and automation.
● Ability to align technological capabilities with business objectives, driving efficiency and innovation.
● Experience in building and scaling large, high-performing IT teams while maintaining efficiency and cost control.
● Strong financial planning skills, with the ability to optimize technology investments and monitor costs effectively.
● Deep understanding of data protection regulations, financial compliance standards, and risk management.
● Proficiency in enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, API integrations, and modern DevOps practices.
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., TOGAF, ITIL, PMP) are a plus
● Readiness to relocate to Central Asia
