A Brief Overview

The US LBM Solutions Architect – Application Development will play a key role in shaping the future of US LBM's technology stack and key internal and customer applications. This role is responsible for designing and implementing robust solutions across the full US LBM enterprise. Initial focus will be directed toward highly scalable customer web and mobile applications. Future development may span manufacturing technologies, FinTech, retail tech, ERP, and beyond. This position will collaborate with our Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) team to connect new applications to our ERP, logistics, scheduling, and other enterprise applications via EAI tools. This person will work closely with stakeholders and development teams to ensure our technology infrastructure aligns and advances our strategic goals.

What You Will Do

Develop architectural strategies for the creation, deployment, integration, and maintenance of our proprietary enterprise applications.
Work with business leaders to understand corporate needs and develop technical solutions that integrate with our existing systems.
Design scalable and secure architectures that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Lead the evaluation and implementation of new technology initiatives and software upgrades.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and security best practices.
Conduct systems analysis and recommend solutions to improve workflows.
Collaborates with the application development team for new capabilities, from requirements gathering through implementation and support.
Maintain a deep understanding of US LBM's full suite of enterprise applications, their capabilities, and our standard business processes (SOPs).
Maintain a complete library of technology roadmaps and use them to update key stakeholders.
Perform all required tasks in support of department goals and objectives.
Enhance personal development by participating and attending relevant training opportunities and forums.

Education Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is optional based on experience.
Microsoft certified Azure solutions architect a plus.

Experience Qualifications

4+ years of experience in developing highly available solution architecture of web/mobile applications and large scale integrations.
6+ years of experience working in a development team creating and delivering custom web and mobile applications.
Demonstrated experience in working with individuals with varying degrees of application development knowledge.
Experience in various app dev methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, Hybrid.
Experience working in a team environment and ability to work independently and set priorities.
Experience developing solutions for B2B customers or organizations strongly preferred.

Skills And Abilities

Mastery of modern web/application/integrations frameworks offered in Azure
Mastery of implementing micro services architecture in Azure
Expertise in SQL, Relational Database systems and NO SQL databases.
Proficient in developing REST APIs using C#
Proficient in front end frameworks React/React Native, Javscript, HTML & CSS
Proficient in unit testing/e2e testing/load testing frameworks
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Terraform
Ability to work with internal and external customers and understand and assess their needs, processes, and functions in order to document requirements, provide recommendations, and system information in a clear and concise manner meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Ability to distill complex technical concepts into common business terms.
Self motivated, driven individual, focused on execution.
Excellent interpersonal as well as oral and written communication skills.
