About The Role:

We are looking for a curious, analytical, and AI-savvy Data Scientist Intern to support strategic initiatives within our Billing organization. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Billing leadership team to leverage data and AI to improve the customer experience, reduce handle time, and streamline billing operations.

You’ll gain hands-on experience applying data science to real business problems while directly impacting efficiency, customer satisfaction, and automation.

What you will be doing:

You’ll help us explore and implement AI-driven solutions by:


  • Analyzing Support Data
    • Cluster billing tickets and identify key themes and root causes.
    • Perform sentiment analysis to surface frustration points in the billing journey.
    • Predict case volume spikes or trends around billing cycles and system changes.
  • Automating Billing Operations
    • Train models to auto-categorize billing cases by topic and urgency.
    • Develop smart triage models for routing cases to the right agents or departments.
    • Build early prototypes of “next best action” recommendations for agents.
  • Powering Self-Service Tools
    • Help train an AI-powered billing chatbot to answer customer questions.
    • Work on auto-reply suggestions to help agents reduce handle time.
    • Explore interactive support experiences using AI.
  • Building Dashboards & Insights
    • Create reporting tools and dashboards for metrics like CSAT, resolution time, and case trends.
    • Use anomaly detection to flag unexpected changes in ticket patterns.
  • Special Projects
    • Identify high-confusion invoice patterns.
    • Map where knowledge base articles fail and recommend AI-powered fixes.
    • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and operations stakeholders.
What you will bring to the role:


  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Comfortable with NLP techniques, clustering, and predictive modeling.
  • Bonus if you’ve worked with OpenAI, GPT, or chatbot platforms.
  • A strong communicator who loves using data to solve real business problems.
  • Curious, collaborative, and proactive.
