Position Responsibilities

As a Senior IT Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in securing Deltek’s corporate IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing & implementing advanced security technologies, managing security risks, and designing robust security architectures. Your expertise will help us maintain a secure and resilient IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and manage advanced security solutions, including Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Privileged Access Management (PAM) systems, network segmentation and other latest security technologies and controls.
  • Develops and maintains security architecture artifacts (models, templates, standards, and procedures) that can be used to leverage security capabilities in projects and operations 
  • Maintain a deep understanding of IT technologies (Server, storage, Firewalls, AWS, Azure) and design principles to ensure seamless integration of security measures.
  • Work closely with business leaders to identify, prioritize and document business requirements; recommend technology solution alternatives; and participate in roadmap planning process  
  • Review architecture and processes of existing IT apps and provide recommendations to improve application architecture and security 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security standards and best practices. Lead initiatives to enhance security processes, policies, and procedures to assure alignment with corporate security objectives
  • Determines baseline security configuration standards for operating systems (e.g., operating system hardening), network devices and cloud assets.
  • Coordinate response efforts to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
  • Analyze vulnerability reports and recommend steps to reduce IT risk scores 
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies. Create roadmap to enhance Deltek IT security posture based on latest trends and technologies 


Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Computer engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • US Citizenship is Required for this position.
  • 15+ years of IT & Security experience 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security, with a focus on implementing and managing security technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Privileged Access Management (PAM) systems, and other latest security technologies and controls.
  • Experience in designing and implementing secure IT technologies & architectures including Hypervisor, network devices & firewalls, storage devices, data backup & DR systems, Cloud solutions (AWS & Azure)
  • Strong working knowledge of IT service management (e.g., ITIL-related disciplines):  Change management, Configuration management, problem management 
  • Proficiency in risk management and incident response.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.


Preferred Certifications:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
  • GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)


Compensation Information

The U.S. salary range for this position is $98000.00 - $171500.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
