Epic Willow Ambulatory IT Manager - Digital and Technology Partners - Remote

The IT Manager for EPIC systems is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the operations for the EPIC area assigned, inclusive of applications, interface, revenue cycle or others related. This individual plans, develops, troubleshoots, enhances and maintains systems, procedures and applications for operating efficiency. He/she manages and mentors staff, and is responsible for hire/termination and performance review processes.


Responsibilities

  • Manages EPIC I.T. staff by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and analyzing job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Manages development of end user requirements, system design, project plans, staffing requirements and milestones for system enhancements and development.
  • Maintains effectiveness and efficiency by delivering and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
  • Manages development of enhancement and develop specifications for programming by internal/external resources.
  • Manages all aspects of EPIC system(s) maintenance including: software upgrades, database maintenance, end user support, trouble shooting, auditing systems and problem solving.
  • Maintains areas of responsibilitys effectiveness and efficiency by reporting to upper management any performance concerns, defining problems or challenges and unique solutions to problems. Participates in short and long term plans.
  • Ensures that staff adheres to compliance requirements of the department and/or organization and directs confirmation of this compliance be maintained in the employees files.
  • Performs other related duties


Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in business, computer science or related field, or combination of relevant work experience and technical or on-the-job IT training, with some supervision preferred. Preferred: EPIC-specific instruction and certification.
  • 5+ years (higher preferred) in the information technology field or its equivalent, with some supervisory experience of technical staff.
  • Epic Willow experience and Willow Ambulatory or Willow Inpatient certifications required


Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $120,000.00 - $180,060.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
