Job description

We’re looking for a technically savvy Actuarial Pricing Manager to own the pricing adequacy, accuracy, and competitiveness of our European products. You will contribute your actuarial expertise as part of an interdisciplinary team that includes data scientists and insurance product managers. Working in collaboration, you’ll help develop and implement new pricing techniques that blend actuarial approaches with predictive modeling, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.


In this role you’ll

  • Own the pricing processes for the UK market, including price making, modeling, implementation, and pricing strategy
  • Balance rating accuracy and profitability with price comparison website competitiveness
  • Lead pricing efforts for new products and add-ons
  • Identify optimal areas for pricing and underwriting action based on ongoing monitoring of the data
  • Further your actuarial education through industry research and stay on top of changing regulatory requirements


What you’ll need

  • At least 5 years of non-life actuarial experience
  • FIA (Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries) or FFA (Fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries)
  • Ability to work in an office environment (London)
  • Master’s degree in mathematics / econometrics / actuarial science / related field
  • Personal lines experience strongly preferred
  • Price comparison website (PCW) and/ or commercial pricing experience is an advantage
  • General knowledge of data science programming languages such as Python (preferred) or R, and in database query tools such as SQL. Broad understanding of predictive modeling with focus on supervised models and affinity with unsupervised learning technics
  • Enthusiasm about learning and adapting to the exciting world of AI – a commitment to exploring this field is a fundamental part of our culture
