  • Prepare regular reports on training activities and ensure compliance with company policies in all training initiatives.

We are looking for a Professional Development Specialist who is an educator-turned-instructional leader who is passionate about training teachers and driving implementation success.

We're looking for someone who combines classroom empathy with adult learning expertise, is confident leading PD sessions, and is eager to scale impact through collaboration and curriculum design. As a Professional Development Specialist on our Customer Success team, you will play a crucial role in our continued growth and success. 

This role will be based remote, from your home, and covering the continental US. Given that we have further teams across the USA, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, you will be working in a truly global environment.

More about the Role:

  1. Training and Development:
  • Design, implement, and oversee training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of SAM Labs teachers across the US
  • Develop and deliver ongoing training sessions to address skill gaps, new product features, and best practices
  • Be the expert in SAM Labs, STEAM, and future-ready skill development for educators
  1. Performance Assessment:
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics
  • Monitor and analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Manage PD course usage and check in with customers to ensure satisfaction
  • Maintain high CSAT’s (surveys) around PD sessions (virtual, on-site, and courses)
  1. PD Course Development:
  • Create and update training materials, including on-site & virtual decks and resources 
  • Manage, update, and lead revision and creation of PD courses on Thinkific
  • Ensure training content is current, relevant, and aligned with company goals and industry standards
  • Iterate and manage the PD certification process across all users and Levels of PD
  1. Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with the Customer Success team and other stakeholders to understand training needs and objectives.
  • Foster a culture of learning and development within the Customer Success team.
  1. Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare regular reports on training activities, effectiveness, and ROI for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all training initiatives.

You

  • Are able to start May 5th
  • 3–5 years of K–8 classroom teaching experience, with strong pedagogical knowledge.
  • 3–5 years in training, coaching, or professional development, preferably in the edtech or customer success space.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver engaging virtual and in-person professional development sessions.
  • Deep understanding of STEAM, NGSS, ISTE, and/or CSTA standards, with the ability to translate these into practical classroom strategies.
  • Proficiency in instructional design and curriculum development, including resource creation and lesson adaptation.
  • Experience managing e-learning platforms (e.g., Thinkific, Google Classroom) and familiarity with self-paced training tools
  • Are willing to travel (up to 50% of the time) for on-site trainings
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Have excellent writing, presenting, and conversational skills
  • Are able to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively 
  • Are experienced in and/or have a passion for STEAM & Coding
