Job description

Auria Innovations is seeking a talented Systems Engineer to design and test web, mobile, and desktop applications for aerospace mission planning and scheduling. The Systems Engineer will provide support for ongoing software development contracts, enhance existing software tools, and design and test new software products.

Job Details: Candidates will work in small development teams on all aspects of the development life cycle including requirements, design, documentation, testing, and deployment. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are required. They will interact internally with Senior Management, Software Engineers and Systems Engineers, and will interact directly with customers. Our ideal candidate is highly motivated, eager to learn, and able to come up with innovative solutions to challenging problems.

Salary Range:

Junior: $90k - $110k
Mid: $100k - $130k
Senior: $115k - $145k
Principal: $140k - $160k

Basic Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship required
BS in Engineering or equivalent
2+ years experience with requirements development
2+ years experience with test development
2+ years experience in aerospace software development
Strong experience in full software development life cycle
Experience with Agile software development
Effective communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Version control systems such as Git
Automated test experience
Web application architecture and framework systems engineering
Experience with Docker or other containerization tools
MBSE
Distributed/parallel/cloud computing (SOA, virtualization)
Scripting experience (e.g. Python)
Linux
