About the team
Our mission on the Provider Portal product team is to create intelligent solutions and services that allow our clients to interact with the inventories of obligations (or debts) that they have placed with TrueML, viewing performance metrics and performing certain self-serve functions.As a Sr Engineer I on our team, you will help us fulfill this mission by applying your strong technical and analytical skills to develop and extend our Provider Portal infrastructure and backend capabilities to allow us to continue to effectively manage these obligation inventories and provide secure and performant access to these inventories. You will work with other engineers on the team as well as cross functionally with other engineering teams, product managers, and designers.
Summary
On a daily basis, a Sr. Engineer I deals with a wide variety of software development tasks. You possess a strong understanding of good software design and you can identify bad software design, and you can make good choices in your implementation decisions. You stay current with industry developments and take initiative in introducing innovative techniques to your team and the company. You are trusted to recognize and articulate the severity, and keep a record of tech debt in our system, as well as plan and execute clear paths to address these challenges. Your commitment to delivering results for the company is evident through your reliability and thorough testing of your work.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with +5 years of relevant experience.
Understands system architecture and programming paradigms; learns new technical areas and ships code independently.
Proficient in a range of software development tools (Golang preferred), and has the ability to learn new areas and languages quickly.
Demonstrates continuous learning, improvement, and the ability to suggest/implement technical solutions.
Communicates assumptions, opportunities, risks, and complex systems to diverse audiences.
Scopes/estimates stories, communicates limitations, and manages time off effectively.
Owns/delivers tasks, understands domain scope, and handles production issues.
