WHAT’S ON OFFER

Join a rapidly growing team in a technically challenging and rewarding role! Reporting to the Machine Learning Data Scientist Development Manager, the Full Stack Machine Learning Engineer – LLM is passionate about designing, building, and deploying innovative AI solutions from concept to production. In this role, you will be responsible not only for cutting-edge machine learning and LLM work but also for architecting robust data pipelines and web application MVPs, including secure AWS orchestration.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

• End-to-End AI Development: Lead the development and seamless integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) into our core products, such as Maptual Field & Maptual Sphere
• Full-Stack Pipeline Engineering: Architect, build, and manage data pipelines and secure cloud-based (AWS) infrastructures that support scalable AI applications
• Rapid Prototyping & MVP Creation: Develop web applications and prototypes to quickly iterate on new ideas, ensuring that innovative concepts translate into viable products
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with diverse teams to identify opportunities where AI can solve complex problems and drive business value.
• Concept Simplification: Translate complex LLM, NLP, and software engineering concepts into clear, actionable insights for nontechnical stakeholders
• Innovation in AI and Software: Combine your software development experience with your machine learning expertise to drive novel approaches, including prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), and transformer-based architectures

WHAT YOU BRING

• Proven Engineering Background: 4+ years of experience in roles focused on machine learning and software development, with a strong foundation in pipeline engineering and full-stack product delivery
• Solid Understanding of Machine Learning Principles: Deep familiarity with fundamental ML concepts and best practices, enabling you to translate theory into robust, production-level solutions
• Full-Stack Skill Set: Demonstrated ability to take an idea from concept to MVP using modern web frameworks and AWS-based infrastructure, ensuring robust, secure, and scalable deployments
• Advanced ML & LLM Knowledge: Up-to-date experience with Large Language Models, including practical skills in prompt engineering, RAG techniques, and transformer architectures.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Python and related technologies, with a strong grasp of software engineering principles to deliver efficient, clean, and maintainable code
• Collaborative Communication: Exceptional ability to articulate technical concepts in accessible language to both technical and nontechnical audiences
• Creative Problem-Solving: A self-starter attitude with a track record of innovative thinking and practical execution in complex, evolving technical environments
• Team-Centric Mindset: A commitment to working in a diverse and inclusive team, where collaboration, respect, and trust are paramount.

LOCATION

We are a remote first company with an office hub located in Toronto, supporting team building and social connectivity with virtual and in-person collaborative work sessions, team meetings and socials.
