Job description

About the Role:

The India based, remote/telecommute Sr Data Quality Analyst will hit the ground running.  This role will be critical to the success of Dynatron’s data quality efforts.  Your focus will be ensuring our data pipelines, data warehouse, and overall data quality are rock-solid and will support the company’s strategic vision around data. 

Important Information:

  • Because we have no office in India, this job will not be a traditional employee role.
  • This will be an “Independent Contractor” role.
  • No taxes will be taken out because you are an independent contractor.
  • No benefits are provided for Health Insurance.
  • India Gazetted Holidays and 24 days PTO are included in the contract.

Required Responsibilities:

  • Data Requirements and Standards:
    • Understand requirements and specifications of data pipelines and data warehouse
    • Define appropriate data standards
    • Become a subject matter expert in Dynatron data
  • Data Testing:
    • Define test cases to ensure data requirements and specifications are met based on data quality standards
    • Execute test cases against all aspects of data pipelines and the data warehouse to ensure data requirements and specifications are met
    • Root cause analysis of data quality issues
    • Partner closely with Data Engineers on defect resolution
  • Data Auditing/Monitoring: 
    • Work with Data Engineers to design and implement audits, monitoring, and alerting on all critical aspects of data pipelines and data warehouse required to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Process Improvement and Automation:
    • Analyze current processes and tools used to test and audit and recommend/implement improvements for efficiency and automation
  • Train and Mentor:
    • Use your extensive experience as a Sr Data Quality Analyst to train junior Quality Analysts on more efficient and automated processes and tools
  • Agile:
    • Participate in all Scrum ceremonies
    • Create Epics and Stories associated with Data Quality efforts as necessary

Required Skills:

  • 10 years experience with SQL queries on multiple database platforms
  • 5 years experience implementing data quality tools and automation
  • 5 years experience analyzing JSON and XML files
  • 10 years experience with advanced use of Excel
  • 5 years experience testing API’s
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical resources
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence, integrity, and professionalism in all aspects of your work.

Additional Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience with data quality implementations in data warehouses, including Snowflake
  • 10 years experience working with relational databases such as MySQL and Vitess (sharded databases)
  • Experience with Big Data technologies technologies is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation Range: $30,000 (USD) / 26 Lakhs (INR)
