Job description

Salary Range: $140,000 to $150,000 per year

Benefit Eligible: Yes, includes health insurance (medical, dental, vision) along with paid time off and a 401(k) with company match

Location: Remote (WFH) with location restrictions within the United States. For tax and compliance purposes, this role is open only to candidates that will work or reside in the following states: AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, LA, MO, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, TX, VA, WA, WI, WY

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to support the Paleovalley organization and ensure our supply chain and logistics operations function properly. This role will collaborate with other departments, such as Operations, Finance, Marketing, Product Development and Quality to create effective business plans. This position will lead and oversee the supply chain of the Paleovalley line of business to monitor logistics, inventory, contract manufacturing, supply planning and cost savings initiatives. They will analyze operational performance, problem solve, implement new processes and lead the resolution of issues for the supply chain organization. They will also collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure all operations (e.g. shipping, delivery) meet quality and safety standards. Candidates should have extensive experience in supply chain, project management, team development & leadership and a high capability of communication.

 

Essential Functions

  1. Track inventory levels across all finished goods to ensure inventory levels stay at optimal levels to support the business. 
  2. Help in managing demand & supply plans for finished goods across various business categories.
  3. Lead supply chain collaboration with internal cross-functional partners in Product Development, Project Management and Quality Management teams.
  4. Collaboration with all internal warehouse leads to ensure both supply chain & operations are in a position to succeed and expand to support business growth. 
  5. Successfully collaborate with multiple vendors (manufacturers or suppliers) and negotiate contracts. 
  6. Plan & create POs across various contract manufacturers along with reviewing & approving POs submitted by direct reports.
  7. Support & monitor raw materials planning & purchasing across all raw material and ingredient supplier(s). 
  8. Review and reconcile all vendor invoices for supply chain. 
  9. Maintain, update and/or support in on-going yield report(s) across all manufacturers and products. 
  10. Identify, and build out internal team KPI(s) performance tracking and new operational review initiative. 
  11. Help manage, minimize & reduce costs within the supply chain. 
  12. Lead & support the existing team and continue to build-out a team that aligns with company growth. 
  13. Train and help in further developing existing and new team members.
 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position is responsible for supervising team members within the department.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Minimum Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field required.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain required, incorporating supply and demand planning, inventory management and cross-functional collaboration.
  3. Minimum 2 years of prior management experience is required. 
  4. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and ERP system(s).
 

Preferred Education & Experience

  1. Minimum of 8-10 years of supply chain experience preferred. 
  2. Experience supporting supply chain activities in a plant or warehouse environment strongly preferred 
  3. Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods industry(s) - food and/or supplements manufacturing is strongly preferred 
  4. Advanced degrees and/or Certifications in Supply Chain, Operations or Business Administration 
  5. Previous experience in ownership of end-to-end supply chain for a high-growth organization – scale of $50MM (or greater) in annual revenue
 

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies that weigh up to 20 pounds, and to bend and stand as necessary.  

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are regular business hours in the employee’s time zone (for example, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This position does not require regular travel but is expected to travel at least 2-3 times per year.
