Job description

Reporting to the VP of Data and Analytics, the Manager of Service Provider Analytics, Data and Claims will direct the review and approval of service provider data submissions and claims in support of CAA’s regulatory requirements and recycling system goals. This position will support the state teams in ensuring material can be tracked from collection through to a responsible end market. They will also work directly with service providers to onboard them, support their ability to easily submit accurate and timely data, and support any issues that may arise. This role will provide analytics on service provider performance, service team performance and overall system performance. They will also build a team of analysts and service support staff to ensure optimal operations for each state. This role will be responsible for interfacing with state teams as well as national teams working on materials management, system optimization and reporting. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Oversee the review and approval of service provider activity reports and ensure all service provider inquiries are answered in a timely manner;
  • Support the service provider onboarding process. Provide training and guidance on reporting standards and requirements. 
  • Communicate with service providers to obtain necessary data required for accurate activity report submissions.
  • Request proof of service for random audits from service providers to ensure activity reports match data provided. 
  • Support state operational teams to validate the accuracy of service provider submissions, ensuring all claims match the activity reports and are supported with the proper documentation. 
  • Support the hiring of additional team members and managing their day-to-day activities;
  • Support the development of monthly reports and executive dashboards. 
  • Work as part of a cross functional team to affect continuous improvement of business processes. Serve as the primary point of contact in the national organization for service provider inquiries, while providing portal support for report submissions to ensure smooth operations
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal / external clients. 
  • Conduct trend analysis to examine data stability, uncover new insights and process improvement opportunities; communicate the results to internal stakeholders. 
  • Support improvements to the Service Provider Portal through writing business requirements and performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) prior to new releases.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Skills & Competencies 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex
  • data and identify actionable insights.
  • Ability to work with service providers to identify and correct data issues
  • Successful track record managing team members and working across the organization, with direct or indirect reporting lines 
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, including working with remote employees across varied geographies and time zones.
  • Detail orientated, highly analytical and organized in handling sensitive information and data
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including subject matter experts and consultants.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with key stakeholders, serving as a resource to ensure successful delivery of services.
  • Ability to synthesize and visualize data through tools like Power BI and to leverage data science and analysis tools such as Python and Jupyter notebooks is preferred.
  • Uses professional and effective judgment and decision-making skills rooted in logic and sound reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternate approaches, solutions, or conclusions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment where change, growth and innovation are a constant.
  • Team player with a professional, disciplined, and self-directed approach.

Compensation & Other Information 

  • Location: Fully Remote
  • Compensation: based on a variety of factors in accordance with applicable law, including the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits, life insurance, retirement, and paid time off.
  • Reports To: VP of Data and Analytics
