What You’ll Be Doing:

We are hiring for a Senior Analyst to join our FP&A Team to support the Product and Technology Business Line.

This role will support the company's financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting functions.

Collaboration Opportunities:

The Senior FP&A Analyst will work closely with senior leadership, department heads, and other teams to provide insights and financial analysis that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing monthly accruals, accounting processes, and procurement processes, and will possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to drive business performance.

What You Will Be Doing:

Support the FP&A team by executing key deliverables below with excellent attention to detail:

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and budgeting cycles with KPIs, and insights tailored to Technology and Product leadership. Including: developing cost center budgets, capital planning, and project-level forecasting for Technology investments and Product initiatives
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure proper documentation and recording of accruals, journal entries, and other financial transactions (e.g., capital project codes, spend category, cost center, etc.)
  • Provide financial oversight of procurement activities and ensure proper accounting treatment of purchasing and vendor transactions
  • Track department-level performance (supporting business line leaders with monthly reports headcount, spend, variance analysis, department P&L forecasting)
  • Maintain, create, automate, and improve Adaptive Insights financial models and reporting templates, focused on the evolving needs of the Technology and Product business area
  • Liaise with other teams under the Finance umbrella (e.g., Accounting) to maintain accurate forecasting and partner on month-end variance analyses to better refine monthly forecasting
  • Support special projects, including ROI analysis for new Technology investments, Product launches, and platform enhancements
  • Maintain and update existing standard models (e.g., staffing, detailed budget builds, etc.)  as well as contribute to further development of those models related to new initiatives (e.g., new strategic initiatives, staff versus contractor evaluation, CapEx strategy, etc.)
  • Manage the monthly accrual process, ensuring accurate recognition of expenses in accordance with accounting principles and company policies
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

The Experience We Prefer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years of experience as an Analyst or Associate in corporate finance (FP&A), investment banking, or other Finance role with financial modeling experience and ideally coming from an institution with a training / rotational / development program
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to take initiative while managing time across multiple workstreams and stakeholders
  • Experience working with Accounts Payable, Accounting, and Procurement teams for invoice, Purchase Order, and accrual related items
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical abilities, with a track record of identifying insights from financial information and translating into business analytics and recommendations with a high level of accuracy
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle) and FP&A tools (e.g., Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, Office Connect) is preferred.

Technical Requirements:

We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $85,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
