Founding / Backend Engineer

We are in search of a Founding Backend Engineer who is eager to build and scale groundbreaking solutions, and join us on this exciting journey as we expand our team. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely and lead critical backend development efforts.

Responsibilities:

As a Founding Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and developing robust server-side applications and APIs. Your expertise will help shape the technical direction of our projects while ensuring the seamless integration of various services. You will collaborate closely with other developers and stakeholders, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions, and thus influencing the overall product strategy.

In addition, your duties will include:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable backend systems.
• Building RESTful services and APIs tailored to project requirements.
• Ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Collaborating with front-end developers and other team members to create high-quality software.
• Participating in code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and establishing best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong experience in backend development with proficiency in Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Proven track record of working with Agile methodologies and collaborating in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for automating repetitive tasks.
• Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is a plus.
