Job description

Hello! We’re Clique Studios. We're a team of ~35 project managers, strategists, designers, and engineers who believe in the power of creativity. We're here to help organizations build their digital future in a way that makes a real impact (and to lead fulfilling lives while we do it).

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team and significantly contribute to our growth and the growth of our clients. In this role, you will not only manage digital projects but also lead them. You will help shape the strategy of your engagements. Your responsibilities will encompass both "core" skills (relationship building, leadership, advocating for design and development decisions, and managing expectations) and "craft" skills (writing, technical scope documentation, ensuring profitability and continuing partnerships, day-to-day management in our PM system, Wrike, providing status updates, creating timelines, managing resources, and more).

Please note: We typically receive a high volume of applications. This posting will close on Sunday, April 20th so that we can dedicate ample time to read through all applications prior to scheduling interviews.

Role Expectations:

  • Core skills
    • Have full ownership of projects from kickoff through launch and retainer accounts for a variety of clients and project types
    • Act as primary communication contact and strategist for clients, helping them achieve their goals and building strong relationships along the way
    • Demonstrate an eagerness to receive feedback (internal and external) and problem-solve accordingly
    • Collaborate to solve problems with a cross-capability PM team (including UX/Accessibility/Content Strategy/SEO practices) to facilitate the best approach depending on the project
  • Craft skills
    • Produce detailed technical scopes, project timelines, creative briefs, resource plans, and status updates using our suite of tools
    • Proactively manage profitability, resources, and project success of every engagement
    • Ensure milestones are met by managing client and internal team
    • Recognize and proactively seize opportunities for expanding client partnerships with new scopes of work
    • Create plans for additional project needs that may fall outside the “typical” process. For example, extensive QA plans & execution, custom technology pieces, leadership of large content migration projects, and more

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of digital design and engineering processes.
  • 2+ years of Project Management experience in fields like Marketing, Design, Digital Agencies, IT, etc.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills; Demonstrated ability to present work and speak professionally in client presentations
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with multidisciplinary teams
  • Working knowledge of enterprise software (G Suite, Slack, Excel, JIRA/Wrike or other similar task & PM tool) and familiarity with CMS constructs (WordPress, Webflow, Drupal or other)

You Might Be The Right Person If:

  • You love the art and science of project management. You love leading teams, keeping projects moving, and building strong client relationships. You’re energized by the process and take pride in doing this role well.
  • You face problems head-on and view them as opportunities.
  • You are self-motivated and want to build something.
  • You are driven by a desire to make the jobs of those around you easier.
  • You consider yourself a teacher of your craft and an ever-learning student.
  • You enjoy a diverse project portfolio and taking on new technical challenges.
