Project Description:
The client provides IT infrastructure support, has taken an initiative to segregate the network to improve network security, data safety, and administrative effectiveness and efficiency.
They have over 4000 servers and devices throughout nine (9) acute care sites. This project is to partner with PHSA Technology Services to conduct a discovery with stakeholders to collect requirements, develop a migration strategy and implement VLAN segmentation at the IT network infrastructure. The PM will work on the Phase 4 implementation which continues the device migration from Phase 3 legacy VLANs to new VLANs at nine acute sites.
Services Required:
The project manager is responsible for overall project management.
· Own all aspects of detailed project planning, tracking, activity oversight and reporting.
· Manage the project based on Fraser Health’s Information Management Project Management Office Project Lifecycle and related project policies, standards, tools and templates.
· Actively oversee project team members, vendors, and deliverables
· Proactively plan detailed future project activities in an agile approach. That is, running conversions for multiple sites concurrently.
· Act as primary liaison between project stakeholders to reach common understanding of the purpose and approach to conversions. Gain formal stakeholder approval for scheduled conversions. Stakeholder preference at the Acute sites is in-person engagement.
· Identify and manage issues to resolution within 1 financial reporting period.
· Identify high impact and high probability risks to achievement of benefits, scope, budget and schedule, and work with stakeholders to mitigate risks, to achieve established baselines.
· Track and manage the project to scope, budget and schedule baselines.
· Formally manage project changes
· Call and chair project meetings with Technical Services and Stakeholders and vendors.
· Regularly report financial forecasting and project status
· Define and measure the success criteria with project sponsor and stakeholders.
· Bi-monthly reporting to the project Steering Committee
· Act as a change agent to manage stakeholder expectations and solution adoption.
· Document lessons learned and knowledge transfer in operation transition.
Deliverable Summary
· Implementation approach/roadmap, running concurrent conversion sites
· Device migration strategy and plan
· Future project intake documents such as Briefing Note, Budget Tool, etc.
· PMO required documentation such as project plan, status report, forecast, project closure report, lesson learned etc.
· Use cases, business requirements and analysis.
· Functional and non-functional requirements
· Assessment tools & methodologies, documentation templates, and decision-making rubric/guidance.
· Knowledge management database update
· Project operation handover document
Specific Qualifications or Experience Required:
Experience in
· Strong stakeholder engagement
· Process development, change management, project management.
· IP networking, network security or cyber security, systems analysis, design and migration
· Data center infrastructure, server architecture, storage and interdependencies
· Enterprise clinical/business application architecture
· Service management processes – change, issue management, CMDB
· Knowledge of PHSA technology services, Fraser Health business/clinical areas is preferred.
