SKILLS

Program begins June 9, 2025 and will conclude August 15, 2025

The internship will provide an overview of the respective area and allow learning in the healthcare industry. This intern will work on a variety of projects; participate in department meetings and activities. May perform duties such as gathering and organizing data to provide information for departmental special projects or reports; assist in preparing written reports; and accompany or shadow professional level employees on assignments. Assignments serve to offer practical experience and broad exposure to the functional area.

Additional duties will be determined by the department sponsor.

Purpose: Identify key company processes that impact the member from product design to post-sales activities.  

Key Skills: Process mapping, managing multiple priorities, insights to action storytelling, written and visual communication

  • 3.0 overall GPA

  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Good analytical skills

  • Demonstrated initiative both independently and within a team

  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook and Word

Potential Projects:  Understanding common threads connected to the post-sales process including:

  • Defining the implications of product design decisions on post-Sales product understanding

  • Understanding the internal processes connecting members to G.E.H.A  after the Open Season sales process including identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.  Focus on new to G.E.H.A members.

  • Identify opportunities for automation for the above

Work-at-home requirements

  • Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.
  • Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms
  • Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.  GEHA considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

The annual base salary range for this position is $43,160 - $60,840 USD.
