The GEHA Summer Internship Program is designed to provide the following to students:Program begins June 9, 2025 and will conclude August 15, 2025
This role will provide students a hands on experience working with the Clinical Quality team in supporting and implementing quality improvement projects to enhance member outcomes, and quality of care. Areas of focus will include data analysis, process improvement and quality assurance.
Additional duties will be determined by the department sponsor.
Key Duties:
Assist with the implementation of quality improvement initiatives and data consolidation.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify areas for improvement.
Support the development and maintenance of quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards.
Assist with the maintenance and update of clinical quality documents, including standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Contribute to the development and delivery of quality training programs.
Participate in cross-functional team meetings and projects.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement tools and techniques.
Requirements:
3.0 overall GPA
Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good analytical skills
Detail oriented
Demonstrated initiative both independently and within a team
Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
Potential Projects:
Assist in the development and implementation of cervical cancer screening project
Development of data design for HEDIS projects associated with Statin Gaps and FUM Gaps
Data analysis of vendor performance related to Kit programs for COL
Reporting design and analysis of Emergency Department Project
