Responsible for achieving sales goals within a defined geographic area. Develops sales plans and budgets for achieving sales goals. This is the first level sales manager. This individual is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the field sales organization. Typically supervises activities of sales force.

Position Summary:  The Regional Sales Manager will serve as the face of Stahl Truck Bodies in the work truck body industry throughout their assigned territory. This leader is responsible for developing and executing a proactive plan to take market share and grow sales throughout their region in the work truck body industry. This role requires a dynamic sales professional with a proven track record of creating and fostering impactful relationships with priority distribution partners in a fast-paced environment. Success is achieved through securing incremental work truck body business with existing partners and expanding our upfitter platform by identifying new opportunities and converting competitively owned organizations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve both sales targets and personal goals while maximizing revenue growth through account channels.
  • Establish sales targets for each key account by developing growth strategies in partnership with feedback from management at key distributor locations.
  • Develop trust and rapport with management and sales of priority distributors through a structured cadence of contact and exceptional responsiveness.
  • Elevate working knowledge of the go-to-market strategy of priority distributors to identify how to best support their sales growth and increase their market share with priority fleets, top dealerships, and large municipalities.
  • Train distributor sales personnel to sell the value of all relevant products across the portfolio of Stahl and Arbortech bodies.
  • Understand top competitor products and sales approaches to leverage our differentiation and identify additional ways to drive business growth.
  • Lead and motivate a support team to drive performance, meet objectives, and exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis of sales performance, market trends, and key metrics to senior management, with actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to inform decision-making and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Other duties assigned by manager.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic account sales or business development, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and building successful partnerships both direct and through distribution.
  • Strong understanding of work truck body industry dynamics, trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with data analysis tools preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
