The Animal Health Department (AHD) Strategic Analyst supports the Animal Health Division by overseeing analytical projects that enhance performance and inform decision-making across key operational areas. While management sets the overall project goals, the AHD Strategic Analyst helps determine the methodology to achieve these objectives with oversight, offering valuable insights on deliverables along the way. This role is pivotal in driving data-informed decisions that enhance operational efficiency and strategic outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintains performance metrics and standardize and automate all tools and reporting.
• Ensure timely receipt of data, process data for sales reporting, and consistent verification of the advertised prices.
• Develop and enhance Tableau dashboards to empower marketing and sales teams in making informed business decisions.
• Streamlines data processes to enhance validation and processing efficiency.
• Collaborate with external partners to ensure data integrity across multiple platforms.
• Use sophisticated techniques to analyze sales impact of marketing and sales initiatives
• Tracks all programs, rebates, and/or initiatives to help growth the business.
• Helps the deployment and alignment of ongoing assessment of sales territories and historical account analysis and mapping.
• Work with sales managers and marketing team on division/territory specific projects.
• Partner with IT bring online a working data warehouse for data analytics and reporting.
• Develop and circulation of ready-to-use tools for the commercial team.
• Partner with Finance to finalize and analytics team members to automate commercial reporting.
• Leverage analytics to identify product level opportunities within particular geographies, channels, customers or intermediaries.
• Work with the team to develop/measure pilots and execute implementation plans.
• Develop an analytics and business intelligence driven toolkit to provide early indications of competitive shortages in the market.
• Implement processes to monitor the effectiveness of data-driven decisions and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Foster a culture of data literacy across the commercial team to ensure optimal use of available tools and insights.
• Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.
Education Requirements and Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Economics, Finance or related degree highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years analytics, quantitative, metrics discipline experience required in the pharmaceutical industry required; animal health experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of relevant systems preferred, including advanced Excel, Cognos, Tableau, Salesforce CDP/MC and SQL Plus.
• Strategic thinking, analytical and reasoning abilities.
• Experience of presenting Sales Analytics results to the Management Team.
• Proactive skills with the ability to manage high priority projects efficiently and effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Proven track record of timely decision-making, and results orientation in meeting corporate objectives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Expected Salary Range:
$72,600-$82,000
