Director, Finance GTM & Operations 

Mission: 

The Finance Director – GTM and Operations Finance will serve as a strategic finance partner to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and GTM leadership team, the VP of Operations and Operations leadership team, and Finance peers.

This role will focus on enabling growth—helping the GTM team accelerate revenue, scale the business, and remove financial barriers to execution—while also supporting Operations to ensure Groq can efficiently deliver AI Inference at scale to customers.

Responsibilities & opportunities in this role:

Go-To-Market (GTM) Finance – Enabling Growth

  • Partner with GTM leaders to support strategic initiatives that drive customer acquisition, expansion, revenue acceleration and Sales Contribution.
  • Provide financial insights, modeling, and scenario planning to help the team pursue new markets, pricing strategies, and sales motions.
  • Support partnership development, helping structure and evaluate deals that unlock new channels and scale distribution.
  • Optimize deal structuring by balancing customer needs, strategic value, and long-term growth potential.
  • Develop headcount and resource planning models, ensuring GTM teams have the investment needed to execute.
  • Help shape pricing and offering strategies, supporting sales teams in testing and iterating on new approaches.

Operations Finance – Enabling Scalable Execution

  • Bridge GTM and Operations planning, aligning supply and demand to minimize bottlenecks and optimize revenue realization.
  • Support supply chain, fulfillment and capacity planning, ensuring Groq can meet customer demand and scale delivery efficiently.
  • Assess data center profitability, tracking operational costs and their impact on Groq’s strategy.
  • Lead real estate and data center financial planning, ensuring Groq’s infrastructure can scale in line with business growth.
  • Partner with IT and InfoSec leadership to evaluate vendor contracts, cost structures, and efficiency opportunities.
  • Corporate Finance & Planning
  • Serve as a key input into corporate planning cycles, coordinating GTM and Operations execution with Groq’s financial objectives.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Accounting, and Investor Relations, contributing insights for Board reporting and investor communications.
  • Support cross-functional finance initiatives, driving alignment across revenue, operations, and corporate functions.

Ideal candidates have/are:

  • 10+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, or Business Operations Finance, ideally in high-growth tech, AI, SaaS, or hardware.
  • Deep understanding of GTM finance, including sales models, partnerships, pricing, and scaling revenue operations.
  • Strong experience in operations finance, particularly in supply chain, logistics, IT, and data center planning.
  • Ability to partner with GTM, Operations, and Finance leaders to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Highly analytical with expertise in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and forecasting.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, balancing strategic priorities with tactical execution.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills to translate financial insights into business impact.

Compensation: 

At Groq, a competitive base salary is part of our comprehensive compensation package, which includes equity and benefits. For this role, the base salary range is $188,870 - $255,530, determined by your skills, qualifications, experience and internal benchmarks.
