Job description

Sales Support Specialist

KMM is seeking a Sales Support Specialist to support our sales team by freeing up time and allowing them to focus on moving qualified leads to closed-won deals The role includes prospecting and lead generation for new customers, qualifying opportunities, and handing them off to the sales team, conducting prospecting activities, including cold calling and emailing, researching potential customers, managing action plans and registries, scheduling and coordinating follow-up calls and meetings once deals are qualified, assisting in the preparation of proposals, quotes, and RFP responses, ensuring accuracy and alignment with customer requirements, conducting research on industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to provide insights to the sales team, and facilitating a handoff process where the sales team takes ownership while sales support remains involved for administrative purposes.

This is a remote position, preferred locations include Dallas/Ft. Worth, Atlanta, of New York. Candidates must meet all listed qualifications and experience requirements to be considered for this role.


Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales, communications, marketing, or consulting.
  • B2B experience is essential.
  • Industry experience in telecom or distribution is advantageous.
  • Strong affinity groups are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with team members.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.
  • Ability to convey complex technical information in an understandable manner.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address customer concerns and identify solutions.
  • Strong ability to deliver elevator pitches and confidently handle cold calls.
  • Experience using CRM software (HubSpot, LinkedIn, AI-driven prospecting tools).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
