Job description

We’re looking for a Regional Sales Manager (Law Firms) with a strong business development mindset to drive net-new sales within law firm accounts while also managing and expanding relationships with existing clients.

This individual contributor role reports to the Vice President of Sales, Americas, and is ideal for someone who thrives on hunting for new business, takes initiative, and has a consultative approach to sales. You’ll be responsible for selling MaxVal’s full suite of IP software and services to law firms of all sizes, from boutique firms to global AmLaw 100 organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive net-new business development through proactive prospecting, outreach, and lead generation.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process: prospecting, qualification, product demos, proposals, and contract negotiation.
  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales quotas on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with partners, attorneys, IP operations teams, and administrative leaders within law firms.
  • Understand the unique operational and client service challenges law firms face, and position MaxVal’s solutions accordingly.
  • Grow revenue within existing firm accounts through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Develop tailored territory and account strategies in collaboration with the marketing and product teams.
  • Provide accurate pipeline updates and sales forecasting.


Requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of SaaS or legal tech sales experience, with a strong understanding of the law firm ecosystem.

  • Track record of self-sourced pipeline generation and consistent quota attainment.

  • Experience selling complex solutions to law firm decision-makers.

  • Ability to manage both new business and existing accounts effectively.

  • Intellectual Property (IP) experience is heavily preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to demo software, explain services, and communicate ROI to legal audiences.

  • Consultative selling approach with strong discovery and qualification skills.

  • Experience with CRM systems and pipeline management best practices.

Education:
