Job description

Job Summary:

The Manager, Human Resources (Benefits) leads the development, maintenance and communication of respective policies and procedures in conjunction with the Director.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
  • Participate in developing and executing department goals and objectives
  • Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
  • Maximize efficiency by identifying operational issues arising during day-to-day administration and recommending / proposing enhancements
  • Effectively lead cross-functional teams to implement stated goals and process changes
  • Ensure processes are documented, up-to-date, and followed with appropriate cross training for key functions
  • Maintain accurate files and records
  • Assist with compliance and related functions as needed
  • Guide and direct the Human Resources team to successfully complete daily tasks and projects
  • Interview, select and train new team members
  • Conduct performance management activities for direct reports, to include monthly one-on-one meetings, annual performance appraisals and discipline as appropriate
  • Performs any other job-related requirements as requested

  • Administer employee benefits programs including retirement plans, basic health and voluntary products.
  • Evaluate and benchmark existing company benefits as well as work with the Director to execute on benefit strategy.
  • Plan, develop, and/or participate in area and industry surveys. Analyzes results of surveys and develops specific recommendations for review by management.
  • Ensure timely plan compliance including review of necessary benefit documentation, benefit agreements and insurance policies.
  • Collaborate with internal partners such as finance, etc.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, or Finance or equivalent work experience required
  • Seven (7) or more years of progressive Human Resources experience required
  • Three (3) years of management experience is preferred

Licensure and Certification:

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification or related certification is preferred

Working Conditions:

  • General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time

Compensation Range:

$81,400.00 - $130,200.00

In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
