Senior Systems Engineer (ServiceNow - CSDM)

Position Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer with expertise in the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and its associated taxonomy. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ServiceNow and possess data analysis capabilities. A strong understanding of configuration management database (CMDB) terms, relationships, and functions is essential.

• Assist with team workload and manage tickets in ServiceNow.
• Identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency.
• Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
• Build and execute queries using the CMDB Query Builder.
• Understand and generate reports to provide insights.
• Analyze data to support decision-making processes.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Education/Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).
Requires 4 – 6 years of related experience.

Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
Master's Degree Computer science, information systems, or similar field preferred

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in ServiceNow
• Experience with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and its taxonomy
• Understanding of CMDB terms, relationships, and functions
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis
• Ability to utilize relational data models effectively

• Intermediate - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty
• Intermediate - Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

License/Certification:

• ITIL 4 Foundations Certified preferred
