Our client, a highly regarded national advisory firm specializing in nonprofit organizations, is seeking a Remote Controller to join their team of 25 across the US. In this pivotal role, you will manage a team of two accountants while directly overseeing a portfolio of 4-7 nonprofit clients. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing financial reports and ensuring the accurate delivery of client deliverables. To be chosen for this role, you must have both nonprofit and public accounting experience. If your CAS background is more related to audit support, this would not be the best match. [REMOTE] Controller – Outsourced Accounting (nonprofit exp. req.) Responsibilities

• Manage accountants (2) and oversee their work
• Oversee various client engagements and respond to inquiries
• Employ new financial technologies for clients
• Prepare client financial reports and ad-hoc reports for client delivery
• Create and sustain financial data in various accounting platforms
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of client deliverables
• Prepare revenue projections and forecast expenditure
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger account
• Assist with client’s annual audit work
• Investigate and resolve audit findings and account discrepancies
• Contribute to the development of new accounting systems

[REMOTE] Controller – Outsourced Accounting (nonprofit accounting exp. req.) Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Full-cycle nonprofit accounting experience required
• Public/outsourced accounting experience required
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUPs required
• Strong background creating trial balance reports required
• Experienced overseeing the work of junior accountants required
