Role Overview

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing data, building reports and dashboards, and providing strategic insights to help Brave Thinking Institute make data-driven decisions. You will work cross-functionally with marketing, finance, operations, technology, sales, and leadership to identify key trends, optimize business processes, and improve overall performance.


This role is ideal for a curious, analytical thinker who is passionate about using data to solve business problems and support a purpose-driven organization.


Key Responsibilities


Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business growth.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve marketing campaigns, financial performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop predictive models and other analytics solutions to forecast business trends.


Business Intelligence & Reporting

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI tools.
  • Work with leadership and stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure data is aligned with business goals.
  • Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and data accessibility.


Data Management & Quality

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by working closely with IT and data engineering teams.
  • Assist in data collection, cleaning, and validation efforts to maintain high-quality datasets.
  • Identify and troubleshoot data discrepancies and reporting issues.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with marketing, sales, finance, and operations teams to provide data insights that drive strategic decisions.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support executive leadership with ad hoc reports and presentations.


Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or analytics roles.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing structured data.
  • Understanding of data management: data table schemas and relationships, data modeling, data layers (e.g. semantic layer, business intelligence layer), and data governance and policies.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.
  • Ability to translate complex data into concise, actionable insights for decision-makers.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in marketing analytics, financial analytics, or operational reporting.
  • Knowledge of:

Google data products (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager)

CRM systems (e.g., Keap, Zoho CRM)

Marketing automation tools (e.g., Braze)

Financial analytics tools (e.g., NetSuite ERP, Zone Reporting, Power BI)

Budgetary analysis

Experience working in a personal development, coaching, or purpose-driven organization.


Technical Qualifications

  • Exposure to Python or R for advanced analytics (optional but a plus).
  • SQL
