As the senior manager of pricing actuarial on the Home & Property team, you’ll manage a team of eight direct reports, including associate managers and pricing analysts. In this role, you’ll advance the science of pricing across the spectrum of personal property products. You and your team will ensure rate adequacy for a set of complex states (California, Florida, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and New York) and oversee the execution of the pricing process. You’ll represent the business as a pricing authority in dealings with the Department of Insurance (DOI). Additionally, you’ll lead all aspects of the management of assigned teams and constructive engagement and influence with other parts of the organization.

Must-have Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of ten years’ experience in the Property and Casualty industry, with at least two years leadership experience (e.g., supervisory/management role). Certification as a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society with the ability to issue relevant Statement of Actuarial Opinion, including rate certifications
  • {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of seven years’ experience in the Property and Casualty industry, with at least two years in a supervisory/management role. Certification as a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society with the ability to issue relevant Statement of Actuarial Opinion, including rate certifications

Preferred Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience, with a strong focus on relationship building and achieving results. Skilled in charting and navigating new pathways to achieve success
  • Experience applying Actuarial Standards of Practice and methodologies around risk, ratemaking, and modeling
  • Prior pricing and property insurance experience
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Business acumen and ability to merge with analysis to generate optimal rate recommendations

Compensation

  • $125,700- $179,600/year
  • Gainshare bonus up to 50% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
  • Participation in our restricted stock units plan
