Job Description

We are hiring a Senior Workday Business Analyst (Core HCM) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will partner with HR and IT stakeholders to analyze, optimize, and implement HR processes using Workday’s Human Capital Management (HCM) modules. This is a strategic position requiring both business acumen and functional expertise within the Workday platform.

You will act as a key liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring that HR needs are met through well-designed, scalable Workday solutions. This role includes gathering and refining requirements, performing system configurations, supporting testing cycles, and maintaining documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for HCM-related processes

  • Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation using Workday functionality

  • Configure and maintain Core HCM modules, including but not limited to: organizational structures, positions, compensation, time tracking, and benefits administration

  • Design and maintain custom reports and dashboards to support HR analytics and business insights

  • Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements, working with developers and system integrators as needed

  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including development of test scenarios, execution tracking, and documentation of results

  • Ensure data integrity and quality across all HR systems, including support for data loads and validation

  • Document system configurations, workflows, design decisions, and change logs for future reference

  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, offering recommendations based on Workday best practices

  • Provide support and training to HR users; develop user guides and materials as needed

  • Monitor and assess the impact of Workday updates and new releases; recommend changes as needed to maintain system alignment with business needs

  • Support incident resolution, enhancements, and change requests through appropriate channels

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant with a focus on Workday HCM

  • Proven expertise in Core HCM modules, including job architecture, compensation, time tracking, and benefits

  • Strong understanding of HR business processes and the ability to translate them into effective system solutions

  • Proficiency with Workday reporting and analytics, including calculated fields, custom reports, and dashboards

  • Experience with requirements documentation, functional specifications, and test case design

  • Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Teams

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and commitment to data quality and process efficiency

  • Experience with Workday security, integrations, or other modules is a plus

  • Workday Certification is a plus
