As the Director of Sales for the grocery division at Straight Arrow Products, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our renowned brands trusted by millions, our main brand is the Original Mane ‘n Tail.  This is a unique opportunity to drive strategic growth, foster lasting partnerships, and significantly impact the continued success of our family-owned company. While we’re headquartered in Easton, PA, all US candidates with strong grocery distribution connections will be considered and can work remotely! Pay will be commensurate with experience. If you have grocery experience, we want to talk to you! 
What you’ll do
As the Director of Sales, you’ll leverage existing and cultivate new grocery accounts to ensure our products are widely available worldwide. You’ll own the entire sales process for our grocery partners and provide ongoing account management while developing and implementing sales strategies, building customer relationships, and ensuring revenue targets are met. While every day will be a bit different, you’ll:
  • Drive Sales Success: Achieve and exceed sales targets to propel the growth of our hair and skin care products in grocery retail.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies to introduce our premium products to grocery chains across the U.S. Analyze sales data and use insights to make data-driven decisions.
  • Leverage Your Network: Use your existing relationships with brokers and key decision-makers to secure new distribution.
  • Engage & Educate: Conduct product presentations and demos to highlight the unique benefits of our products.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Manage broker relationships and work closely with our marketing, finance, and operations departments to develop retail-specific promotional strategies.
  • Market Insights: Monitor competitor activity, industry trends, and customer feedback to shape future sales strategies.
  • Track Performance: Use CRM tools and reporting software (Salesforce, PowerBI, SmartSheet) to maintain detailed sales records and pipeline management. Presenting sales reports to senior management regularly.
  • Financial: Establish and manage your own budgets, expenses, and forecasts.
What you need to thrive in this role
  • Experience: 15+ years in sales with a focus on grocery chains. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of the U.S. grocery market and current trends with the ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies. Skin/hair care experience is preferred.
  • Relationship Builder: Established network of contacts with brokers and grocery chain decision-makers.
  • Skills: Established discipline and analytical skills, exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Self-Starter: Highly motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with a team.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software, PowerBI, and SmartSheet.
  • Financial: Experience in managing budgets, expenses, and forecasts.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
