Position Overview

BizFirst is supporting our client in search of a full-time Program Analyst III to support the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND) program with the development, review, and staffing of high-level acquisition documentation and policy-related materials. The successful candidate will bring deep familiarity with the DoDI 5000 series acquisition policies, coupled with analytical and programmatic skills, to support complex CBRN-related acquisition activities. This position requires effective coordination with cross-functional teams, evaluation of program milestones, and development of acquisition strategy documents that support the mission success of the Department of Defense.

Through innovative transformations, they develop and implement strategies to optimize operations for military departments and agencies across the U.S. Federal Government.


What You will Do:

As a Program Analyst III, you will play a key role in acquisition planning, policy development, and program execution across all phases of the acquisition life cycle. You will support the Government Lead by preparing high-quality acquisition documentation and providing data-driven analysis that informs leadership decisions. This position requires strong communication skills and a solid grasp of acquisition program management principles to ensure program alignment with strategic objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply DoDI 5000 series policies to support acquisition planning, analysis, and coordination across product development, production, and sustainment.
  • Develop, track, and assess technical program metrics including cost, schedule, and risk.
  • Evaluate acquisition plans and assist in milestone planning and execution.
  • Coordinate with program management, contracting, logistics, and engineering teams to maintain program visibility and schedule alignment.
  • Support new project and requirement development, including drafting and reviewing acquisition documents and briefings.
  • Facilitate and document internal and external meetings, tracking action items and program milestones.
  • Manage SharePoint content and maintain electronic program files for accurate recordkeeping.
  • Draft and update key acquisition deliverables, such as SOWs, P-Specs, CDRLs, and milestone review packages.
  • Assist in the development of recurring reports and executive summaries.
  • Provide program information to support cost estimates, spend plans, and lifecycle management documentation.
  • Support classified communications and attend classified workgroups or meetings as required.
  • Translate program requirements into draft contract documentation and support contract deliverable review.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across functional areas and support cross-functional team actions.

 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in project management or defense acquisition, with demonstrated knowledge of the DoDI 5000 series.
  • Tools: At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Project).
  • Clearance: Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required.
  • Certifications: DAU Practitioner-level certification in Program Management (or civilian equivalent) preferred.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple, complex, and time-sensitive tasks with minimal supervision.
