💡About the role:

We are seeking a Senior Accounting Advisor to join our team as a freelance accountant. In this role, you will help Xolo in developing and refining our software to ensure alignment with the specific needs and regulatory requirements of the Polish market and also under demand provide services as an accountant. Your in-depth knowledge of the Polish tax system, particularly for Jednoosobowa Działalność Gospodarcza (JDG) (Sole Proprietorship), will be vital in steering our product development toward full compliance with local accounting and tax regulations. This is an ideal opportunity for an accountant eager to apply their expertise, shaping innovative financial tools for freelancers and small businesses in Poland.

✍️ As a Freelance Accounting Advisor at Xolo, you will:

• Consult on Product Development: Provide expert guidance in the accounting rules for the development of Xolo’s software (e.g. invoicing engine, expenses processing flow, report generation).
• Compliance: Advice on the integration of Polish tax compliance requirements, including VAT regulations.
• Testing and Feedback: Participate in testing phases of the software to ensure all accounting and tax features work as intended and meet Polish legal requirements.
• Regulatory Updates: Keep the Xolo team informed of any changes in Polish tax regulations that could impact software functionality or user compliance.

🔎You are the one we are looking for if you have:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an accountant, with a focus on Polish tax systems and regulations. Extensive experience working with Jednoosobowa Działalność Gospodarcza (JDG) (Sole Proprietorship) is required.
• Strong understanding of Polish tax laws, VAT regulations, invoicing rules, and business registration processes.
• Fluency both in Polish and English.
  
• Proficient in accounting software commonly used in Poland.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently, and strong analytical skills.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Polish tax advisor) are a plus.
