As a Contract Coordinator you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Leading the end-to-end coordination and execution of the bidding process, ensuring timely and compliant responses to RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs, while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
Implementing effective communication strategies by integrating information from cross-functional teams—including marketing, sales, legal, and customer service—to provide clear, accurate, and customer-focused contract responses.
Determining the feasibility and compliance of contract pricing, terms, and conditions in partnership with our controller function, ensuring alignment with departmental policies and business goals.
Supporting internal teams and customers by proactively managing expiring contracts, responding to complex inquiries, and providing insights based on trend analysis and historical data to guide strategic decision-making.

Your Skills and Expertise 

  • Follows a variety of generally defined procedures under general guidance within the Contract function. Works independently and output is occasionally reviewed while in progress. The supervisor is consulted for assistance in problem areas.
  • Handles a variety of inquiries and develops solutions for moderately complex issues. Uses intermediate analytical skills to analyze trends. Most complex problem solving may require the use of experience, analysis, and research to resolve. Solutions are often based on the review of prior practices and/or experiences in similar situations. Uses short-term planning skills when forecasting or providing guidance to business partners.
  • Decisions or actions are based on more alternatives and greater adaptation to circumstances, having a clear impact on operational effectiveness of work operations, schedules, or performance goals.
  • Work tasks encompass concepts within one or more disciplines/practices within one department/location. Working tasks might include:
  • Administers and assists management with the chain of events and communication efforts for the bidding process. Develops and prepares written correspondence in response to Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request For Proposal (RFP), and Request for Information (RFI). Monitors status of RFQs, RFPs and RFIs, updates information files as needed and prioritizes incoming RFQ, RFP and RFI contracts according to departmental priority and company policy.  Ensures correct proprietary marking and that technical and financial information is in compliance with the bid solicitation and is included in all proposals.
  • Responds to complex customer inquiries and requests regarding new and renewal contracts. Notifies applicable personnel about expiring contracts for appropriate action.
  • Administers, coordinates, implements and integrates information from marketing, sales, materials control, legal, customer service departments to determine how to respond and communicate information to customers. May make presentations on contract(s) status at quarterly departmental or business unit meetings.
  • Reviews and analyzes contract pricing, terms and conditions with 3M's controller function for accuracy and determines if terms can be met according to departmental policies and procedures.

  • High School Diploma/GED

AND

  • A minimum of 2-3 years (Administrative and/or Paralegal) working experience with a working knowledge of contracting theories and practices

  • Experience in reviewing and preparing documents for execution, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Experience in working with Sales to ensure proper processes and approvals have been met.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $82,370 - $100,675, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
