The Opportunity:

Are you an expert in navigating complex billing issues and passionate about ensuring timely payments? We’re looking for a skilled AR Denial Management Specialist to support our team who support our East Coast-based US healthcare client. In this role, you’ll tackle challenging billing problems, work closely with insurance companies, verify patient insurance details, and manage appeals and denied DME claims. You'll also stay up-to-date with the latest insurance regulations and utilize top EMR systems like Brightree.

This position is remote and offers you the flexibility of working from home.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Resolve complex billing issues to ensure providers receive full and timely payments
  • Identify root causes of submission failures, underpayments, and payment delays
  • Stay updated on insurance regulations and adapt to ongoing changes
  • Coordinate and ensure timely and thorough follow-up with insurance companies
  • Verify the accuracy of patient insurance and demographic information
  • Adhere to specific guidelines for appeals submission and ensure timely and accurate follow-through on all appeals
  • Review and process denied or rejected insurance and healthcare claims promptly
To succeed in this role you will need:
  • At least 4 years of experience in accounts receivable (AR) and denial management
  • Experience working with insurance companies
  • Strong problem-solving skills to research and resolve discrepancies, denials, appeals, and collections
  • Knowledge of insurance guidelines, including HMO, Medicare, Medicaid, and other commercial payers
  • Experience with EMR systems such as Brightree is a plus
  • Knowledge of health insurance and billing regulations, including CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Effective phone communication skills for resolving issues with insurance payers
  • Customer service skills for interacting with patients regarding medical claims and payments
Service Fee:
Industry standards applicable depending on work experience and level of expertise.
Hours:

US Eastern Standard Time (EST) – 9 AM to 6 PM
