Physical Security Support Analyst  position with New Era Technology offers you the following:

The Physical Security Support Analyst will support the assigned Project Manager by assisting field and internal technical resources in analyzing, installing, troubleshooting, configuring, and maintaining security infrastructure and application components relating to video surveillance, intrusion alarms, and card access technologies.  To aid in successful project completion, the Physical Security Support Analyst will be responsible for providing direction, information, and technical support to field technicians and/or internal stakeholders working on various security related projects and/or technologies.

PRIMARY DUTIES include but not limited to: 

  • Act as overall Electronic Security subject matter expert for National and International multi-site deployments, relating to video surveillance, intrusion alarms, and card access technologies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all various manufacturer product lines and disseminate training related information when available.
  • Pre-configure prior to shipping various types of hardware relating to video surveillance, intrusion alarm, and card access technologies being deployed for field related installations.
  • Provide remote support and act as the main technical point of contact for assigned field technicians working on various technologies including video surveillance, intrusion alarms, and card access systems.
  • Manage assigned workload and deliver services in accordance with established objectives set forth by Project Team.
  • Work with central station monitoring provider to set up new accounts and monitor day to day alarms and troubles pertaining to intrusion alarms.
  • Provide regular technical check-ins to various cloud-based systems relating to video surveillance, intrusion alarm, and card access technologies to confirm system functionality.
  • Assist Operations and Engineering staff in preparing quotes and disseminating site survey information to aid in proposal preparation.
  • Consult with assigned customers, vendors, sales, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues for assigned customer’s projects.
  • Provide daily updates on status of scheduled deployments to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee & maintain all hardware and software applications residing on in-house New Era Technology demo network. This will include adding, removing & maintaining all manufacturer hardware solutions as directed by the Practice Leader.
  • Maintain and edit installation guides on an as-needed basis to distribute to field technicians and internal stakeholders.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Must be able to clearly communicate and provide reasoning to a wide array of technically skilled people via email and telephone.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks related to assigned technology projects.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Collaborate with team members daily on troubleshooting and resolution regarding various technologies.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Experience or ability to read and create schematics or drawings in AutoCAD, Visio, or equivalent product
  • Must be able to quickly learn various manufacturer’s software thru online training platforms or facilitated training sessions

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
  • Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing).
  • Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:   

  • Associates degree in Electronics, Computer Technology or related field, or 3+ years of technical field experience.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience working in the security industry.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:        

  • Certification and experience with various security manufacturing partners and other relevant technology certifications.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: Full time hours – 40 hours per week, overtime as needed.

TRAVEL: Could include up to 10% travel as needed

SALARY:  $65,000 - $75,000
