About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-sufficient Probate Paralegal with extensive experience working in U.S.-based law firms, specifically in the areas of Probate and Guardianship with some experience in Estate Planning (Wills and Trusts). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing a caseload independently while working closely with attorneys and clients. Strong experience in probate and guardianship matters is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and review probate pleadings, guardianship petitions, and related legal documents
Manage probate and guardianship cases from intake through closing
Communicate with clients, courts, and third parties
Assist with estate planning, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
Monitor deadlines and maintain case calendars
Conduct legal research and compile supporting documentation
Organize and maintain case files and records
Support attorneys in preparing for hearings and trials, if necessary
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in a U.S.-based law firm
Strong knowledge of probate and guardianship legal processes
Law degree from your home country
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Experience with case management software (Clio, MyCase, or similar)
