Job description

Requirements:

  • 7-8 years of proven experience in DevOps/Platform Engineering roles in enterprise environments.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  • Expert-level hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Strong background in software engineering with an ability to quickly understand and develop tools and systems.
  • Solid experience in GitLab CI/CD, including creating secure and scalable pipelines.
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with enterprise clients, especially from US/UK, handling high-pressure and complex requirements.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead discussions, guide clients, and mentor teammates.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure automation and DevSecOps principles.
  • Experience working in agile environments using JIRA or similar tools.
  • Experience working with AWS (especially in migration or hybrid cloud scenarios).
  • Understanding or hands-on experience with Rego and OPA (Open Policy Agent) for Policy-as-Code.
  • Exposure to Wiz.io or other Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools.
  • Knowledge of advanced security strategies and techniques in DevSecOps.
  • Contributions to open-source or community-driven infrastructure/security projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure on Azure using Terraform.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, ensuring security is embedded throughout (shift-left security).
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate infrastructure and deployment processes.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and clients to understand infrastructure, security, and automation requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure compliance and policy enforcement using infrastructure-as-code and, ideally, Rego or similar policy tools.
  • Serve as a technical mentor, guiding junior engineers and ensuring DevSecOps best practices are followed.
  • Drive the migration strategy and implementation from AWS to Azure, ensuring a smooth and secure transition.
  • Automate infrastructure, application deployments, and monitoring setups using modern DevOps practices.
  • Utilize CSPM tools like Wiz.io or equivalent to strengthen cloud posture and visibility.
  • Manage work progress, tasks, and collaboration using JIRA or similar tools.
  • Remain up-to-date with cloud security trends and help implement forward-thinking cloud security strategies.
