Job description

This is a remote position.

Medical Scribe:

Monday - Friday

Flexible Time during the client's business hours, Burbank, CA time


We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Scribe with a nursing background to join our team. This role requires someone with excellent English writing skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and procedures. The ideal candidate will assist physicians by documenting patient encounters, ensuring accurate and thorough medical reports are produced based on information provided by the doctor and utilizing pre-established templates.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately document patient history, physical exams, and any other relevant medical information as dictated by the physician.
  • Use physician-provided templates to structure and produce detailed, accurate medical reports.
  • Record detailed notes during patient visits, ensuring all relevant information is captured clearly and thoroughly.
  • Help ensure patient charts are up-to-date and complete for future reference and continuity of care.
  • Review, edit, and format medical reports for accuracy, grammar, and clarity before submitting them into the medical record system.
  • Communicate with physicians and healthcare staff to clarify any information or obtain additional details required for accurate documentation.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Ensure that medical documents are organized and easily accessible for other healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure documentation is consistent with medical diagnoses, treatments, and procedures.
  • Assist in streamlining the documentation process to ensure the efficient workflow of the medical office or clinic.


Requirements


  • Nursing background (LPN, RN, or equivalent nursing qualifications) with solid knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care.
  • Excellent English writing skills with the ability to write clearly, concisely, and with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient information.
  • Previous experience as a medical scribe or in a similar role is highly preferred.
