Job Overview

We seek a highly experienced IMS & Telecoms Engineer to join our dynamic team in India or Ireland (Relocation and Sponsorship could be provided). The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in C++, IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS) design, SIP protocol development, and 5G Core network protocols. This role demands a deep understanding of IMS architectures, SIP-based applications, network troubleshooting, and multimedia service enablement. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing and optimizing IMS and SIP solutions to advance next-generation communication services.

Key Responsibilities
  • IMS Architecture & Design: Develop, implement, and optimize core IMS network architectures and Network Functions (NFs), ensuring seamless service creation and delivery.
  • SIP Protocol Development & Troubleshooting: Create and customize SIP-based applications and services, ensuring efficient session management, signaling, and debugging of SIP issues.
  • Multimedia Service Enablement: Manage and enable services such as VoLTE, VoWiFi, Video Calling, and other multimedia services, including presence and availability management, messaging, and conferencing.
  • Interoperability & Integration: Resolve interoperability challenges between IMS and legacy systems, such as PSTN.
  • 5G Core Network Protocols: Collaborate on 5G Core network architecture and service-based architecture (SBA) components to ensure future-ready communication networks.
  • Security & Network Optimization: Implement security protocols and best practices within IMS and 5G domains while troubleshooting network issues and optimizing SIP routing.
  • Containerization & Deployment: Deploy containerized applications using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm to enhance system reliability and scalability.
  • Telecom Systems Development: Contribute to telecom software development projects utilizing programming languages such as C and C++.
Required Skills & Expertise
  • Proven experience in IMS architecture and design.
  • Expertise in SIP protocol for signaling and session management.
  • Hands-on experience in developing and customizing SIP-based applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of 5G Core network architecture and protocols.
  • Proficiency in enabling and managing VoLTE, VoWiFi, and multimedia services.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with SIP messaging structures, headers, and response codes.
  • Familiarity with network security practices in IMS and 5G domains.
  • Experience deploying containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Proficiency in programming with C and C++ for telecom systems development.
  • Experience with the Kamalio Platform is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience collaborating with Tier 1 Telecom providers.
  • Industry certifications in IMS, SIP, or 5G networking are advantageous.
