We are looking for an Events Specialist with a background in both internal and external event planning. The Events Specialist will have the opportunity to work remotely from within the United States, ideally located in Raleigh, NC, Atlanta, GA, Tampa, FL, Nashville, TN or Austin TX

The Events Specialist is responsible for generating, acquiring, and preparing materials and information for use in the production of live events, while driving brand awareness and exceptional customer experiences through events across firmwide efforts. The duties of this role include planning, coordinating, hosting, and facilitating events with the Events Team, supporting scheduling and planning needs for in-person events both internally and externally.

This role will support productions and events and work cross-functionally with colleagues across Marketing Technology, Digital Marketing, Business Development, Administrative, and Learning departments. They will also work with the Go-to-Market team and firm leaders during the planning process where events are a key part of the organization’s goals and objectives. The specialist will help coordinate event registration, RSVP tracking, promotional items, and signage ensuring consistency of brand, experiences, and overall messages for the event, and provide logistical support as warranted. This role will assist with the event coordination and logistics including supervision, planning, ordering, and shipping materials as needed to local offices in helping to coordinate regional event activities. This role will also assist in tracking budget spend and ROI for in-person events and opportunities that result from event productions.

As an Events Specialist, you will:

  • Support the day-to-day planning and execution of client-facing events, firmwide corporate events, industry and service line conferences, including pre- and post-event communications and attendee management.
  • Collaborate across departments, when needed, to contribute to meeting design, speaker and sponsor management, brand building, and event communications and marketing; Provide ongoing logistical support and collateral development for all event initiatives.
  • Assist in planning and coordination of venue selection, site tours, contract negotiation and invoicing for all events.
  • Assist in organizing event materials and creative decisions; Follow-up with attendees for success stories; Collaborate and share reporting with stakeholders.
  • Assist Events Team in preparing pre-event and post-event checklist items, hotel rooming lists, BEOs, AV needs, and setting up and dismantling events efficiently through to completion.
  • Maintain budgets, timelines and project plans, ensuring events and initiatives are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Collaborate with event, promotional and print vendors as needed in conjunction with design team.
  • Provide consistent and clear communication of events program to all stakeholders, including internal briefing documents for specified events.
  • Manage firmwide event calendar entries and project management tools that align with organization objectives.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, events management, communications or journalism or related field
  • Minimum 3 years experience.

The salary range for this position is included below. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location. Pay Range:

$70,000 to $80,000
