Job description

MedCore Solutions, the healthcare division of BizForce, is seeking a highly motivated Healthcare Customer Service Representative to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing comprehensive support and ensuring they receive the best care experience possible.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage a high volume of incoming calls from patients, addressing inquiries, and providing information regarding healthcare services.
  • Assist patients with appointment scheduling, registration, and navigate their healthcare options.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits, explaining coverage details to patients.
  • Handle inquiries related to medical billing, referrals, and prior authorizations.
  • Resolve patient concerns and complaints with professionalism, empathy, and effective problem-solving strategies.
  • Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives to facilitate a seamless experience.
  • Document patient interactions accurately and maintain records in the system.

Additional Details:

Start Date: ASAP

Time zone: Eastern Standard Time

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day; 40 hours per week; weekends off.

Requirements

  • At least 2+ years of experience in customer service, preferably within a healthcare or medical environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage high call volumes while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and healthcare systems.
  • Proficiency in using patient management software and other relevant technology.
  • Ability to empathize with and assist patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Amenable to work in a graveyard shift
