About the role

The Finance Change Analyst - Migration will play a key role in the development and delivery of high profile change initiatives taking place across Nucleus.  Working in the Finance function you will bring leadership and clarity of vision to support complex change initiatives being both led and supported by Finance, helping us deliver great customer outcomes.  You will possess a track record of delivering systems and data change initiatives in complex environments, exhibiting leadership, vision, and delivery skills. 

What you'll spend your time doing

Forming part of our dedicated Finance change team, you will play a crucial role in important change initiatives such as our platform transformation programme, and Finance initiatives to develop and implement our general ledger system and new tools for planning and consolidation.  You will be influential in enhancing our data strategy, ensuring we can maximise our use of new technologies.

In particular you will take the lead on the implementation of platform transformation, including:

  • Ensuring the operating model, resourcing plans, and ownership of processes and controls, are appropriate
  • Liaising with Finance teams to ensure processes for testing are developed, understood and plans are in place to deliver
  • Overseeing test plans for user acceptance testing, pre-go live, and day 1, ensuring these are developed and owned
  • Working with the Programme Solution lead to ensure feedback from testing is adequately addressed
  • Providing support to the business during adviser soft launch and pre and post the first migration event
  • Reviewing developed processes against scope of subsequent migrations to ensure they remain fit for purpose

In addition you will provide leadership, experience and capability in key areas of our Finance Transformation programme as this work develops, in particular:

  • Contributing to the detailed implementation of initiatives to develop our general ledger system
  • Supporting the implementation of our new technology tools for planning, treasury, and consolidation
  • Driving process and control excellence within the Finance function

More broadly, you will use your experience of change initiatives to influence our approach, leading the enhancement of our current practices, processes, controls, and realisation of benefits.

You will provide excellent customer service to deliver good customer outcomes, take responsibility in everything you do, and manage risk and control in an effective manner ensuring compliance with our Code of Conduct at all times.

About you

You will be a qualified accountant with extensive experience of delivering detailed and impactful change initiatives in financial services organisations.  In particular you will have:

  • Experience of complex change programmes, in particular communicating change to others, management of stakeholders and projects/initiatives, excellent planning and organisation skills, and influencing/collaborating with others
  • Track record of delivery in Finance change, including transformation, regulatory change, and supporting business change initiatives
  • Subject matter expertise across a range of change initiatives, with a proven ability to lead key aspects of complex change programmes
  • Experience of working with agile delivery methodologies
  • Qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA) together with experience of working in/with Finance functions
